Inside the city palace of Jaipur, there is a small beautiful café : Bārādari, or a twelve-doored space. From where I am sitting, I can hear a fountain, and can see its water moving as light on one of the walls and for a moment my eye shifts from the light to the blue sky where a black kite keeps circling – Isis, whose tears for Osiris flooded the Nile? What was an Egyptian goddess doing in the skies of a faraway desert?

Another unanswered question : another cup of Darjeeling.

While I reread the crônicas.
